Unprecedented Dominance !

With Ashes 2009 reaching my place tomorrow, its time to bid adieu to one of my favourite games ever: ICC CRICKET 2007.

This was the first game I got my hands on when my sweetheart sister (I have to be very kind to her :P) bought me the XBOX360 way back on the 17th day of November, 2007 (it was part of the complimentary games given by microsoft back then).

I obviously did not have the slightest idea that I could be so darn good in a cricket game.. I mean I know I'm a cricket fanatic.. I read the game like my dad sometimes (who is an absolute pro) and all that stuff.. but to win games against my friends (who are also very good I must tell you) on such a consistent basis over a period of two years is something I truly consider as an achievement. Yea I know that all this sounds like a pat on my own back.. but I don't care.. for the first time because it is something worth self applauding.. Lol..

I'll miss playing the game.. and am sure Ansu is smiling because no one else knows it better than my buddy as to what exactly my unpredecented dominance in ICC Cricket 2007 means eh.. ;-) I'll be honest.. You have been my toughest opponent in the t20 format.. So yea buddy you were never too bad considering the fact that u r just not a cricket follower.. some of your shots were just.. aahh well, pretty dreadful.. :) :P

Its one of those games which never made good business (its clear.. isn't it! It still I guess is sold as one of the two complimentary titles by Microsoft).. glitches aplenty and far too obvious for any gamer to sight them right in the first instance.. but you see there are a few titles which even though may not be the perfect ones critically.. end up being a big hit on your personal list cuz at the end of the day all that matters I guess is that everyone has had a great time playing it.. n am sure that ICC Cricket 2007 has given all of us the most important thing i.e.. the amazing times.. my gamers (Ansu, Dipy, Shantanu, Satya bhai) won't deny.. :-)

Anyway, it was a nice feeling to have wrapped up the game on a winning note today (it was most probably the last time we guys played it)..

Now with Ashes 2009 reaching my doorsteps tomorrow.. the all important question is.. "will it manage levelling the extent of madness ICC Cricket 2007 provided us with?"

I say and all we cricket lovers say.. Hell yeah Stud!! :D :D

.. So yea.. hope the blokes at Blue Dart are listening..

IPL Fever!

Time for the RCB boys to show what they are capable of. I know beating DD is going to require something special from the boys in red tonight but its not impossible as far as their fans are concerned. DD will surely look to show their winning intent even if they are through to the semis. Sheer professionalism has got them this far and I absolutely love them. That is what I have absolutely loved seeing in daredevils this season. They haven't got any star players like a hayden or mccullum in their line up and yet the success rate which they have managed is pretty amazing. They definitely look like clinching the championship this time around. But then cricket as we know is a game of great uncertainties (remember RR last season). So no one has won it unless and until they actually win it.

RCB on the other hand has had a 50-50 win loss percentage in this season's IPL and frankly enough they have disappointed one and everyone. Much was expected from the famed batting line-up which includes ryder, taylor, kallis and dravid (Kevin was also in that line-up till he went back for national team duties back in the UK). So yes I would want them to be in the semis ahead of KXIP and RR. But let me warn you blokes that they are a tough unit. They are capable of reaching dizzy heights and knocking their opposition out of the ring on their day. 

DD can afford to take it easy and try out a few bench players to give a little rest to some of their key players ahead of the semifinal. But then knowing viru, he would want the team to continue winning and keep the momentum going into the semis. Sounds great if you are a cricket fanatic cuz these little things will lead us to a great game between two great sides tonight.

Let's hope for a great match and let the better team win :)

Unpredictableness at its best !!

Life is strange and we make it stranger!

Last time i was here writing down a few stuffs I did mention FIFA playing a major role in my quest to kill some (Ohh so valuable) time. Well Well, things change and they change pretty fast as well folks. Its the IPL which keeps me very engaged these days. Its what we cricket fans call it as da IPL fever :D :D ....

My teams (CSK, MI, DD) aren't doing too badly actually but the problem is that they haven't quite lived upto the reputation and expectations that fans like me had before the tournament began :( :( CSK has just suffered a very big blow with Flintoff having to go back home to nurse his knee injury and with MI losing a close match against the DC earlier this evening, things aren't looking all that great.

Talking about the unpredictableness of this version (T20), who would have actually thought that DC who finished at the bottom end of the table last season would actually be running away with all their games this season! 3 out of 3 for Gilly's DC and they r sitting pretty at the top of the league table. Another team which has suffered from the "no one knows what will happen" funda of this version is our very own CSK. Runners up last season and with the most balanced side this season they have lost 2 out of their 3 games :| :| some work to do for Dhoni and his boys and now with the absence of their ace all rounder i don't see great things coming their way.

I'm known to be a very positive supporter of my teams ever since i started watching cricket (which was from the WC 1996) :P so i will keep my hopes alive and kicking ;) :P

CSK faces KKR tonight at newlands, Capetown. I have a lot of hopes from the CSK boys. Let me keep my hopes alive and cheer for my team. You guys enjoy the match as well. Hopefully KKR are going to have their asses kicked hard by the men in yellow ;)

Good to be back here ... :D  back after quite sometime actually. Its been more than a week now! *phew*

Things have moved on since the last time i was here [as if that needed a mention] *sighs* ...i have been scoring at will in my fav game these days ;) [Fifa 09]... great finishin touches by my great strikers [berbatov, rooney and ronaldo].. aahh i'm addicted to fifa man :D 

Now this is quite a big thing u know.. cuz i have always been this cricket fanatic and have hardly tried out any other sports [apart from cricket that is] even on the xbox.. Lolz! sounds weird is it.. but then yea thats how it was before i got my hands on the fifa 08. Infact recently there was this thing in facebook which required you to fill in "the five best games u have played" n two versions of cricket [Ea Sports Cricket 07 and Yuvraj Singh Cricket 07] found their places in the best five i have ever had my hands on.. :P am sure that gives u some sort of an idea as to how much i love the game ha ha.. :) ;)

quite an addiction these days.. the fifa's latest version! 09 ... :D just if the Xbox could take more hours of intense gaming.. :( the damn thing dies u know..! if u play for a very long time consistently.. it dies man.. :( has happened to my Xbox once.. had to replace it with a new one [thanks to microsoft's replaceable warranty].. 

anyway.. rest of the stuffs r going on fine as well. 

Man utd is now in d semis of d champions league which was quite a serious doubt after the draw with FC Porto [in the first leg of the quarters]..

da IPL is soon going to start... i can't wait to see three teams in action 

a) Mumbai Indians [obvious reasons -- sachin and zak]

b) Chennai Super Kings [cuz of--Dhoni]

c) Delhi Daredevils [Viru, gauti]

Hopefully my clubs win the championships they r playin for.. :D *fingers crossed*

that should be it for this time.. I'm not sure but i just get the feeling that i actually like bloggin.. Lol.. not something which i did expect when i had created my profile out here.. :D

that should make me write more often.. so yea will be back

I love FIFA 09...

man i love this game! it sometimes irritates the hell out of me.. n sometimes gives me all the happiness.. :)

the last time i was here.. it was a bad day.. X( had lost helluva lotta games and was absolutely disgusted.. but then sometimes you need to look back and analyse as to what went wrong.. it helps sometimes guys.. :D take mah words.. :)

but then looking back at it only won't help.. U need to be very honest to yourself.. only then will things start workin towards a better state.. :)

anyway.. i did realise that i didn't play well enough to beat my opponents.. :( sad yet true.. kinda bitter too.. *hates to admit it* n can u believe it.. i broke my joystick! ok didn't like literally break it.. but yea chipped the back panel .. :( 

I know it sounds crazy but this post is like dedicated to fifa 09.. 

it is one helluva game and seriously not for da faint hearts..! this one is d real deal.. so yea if u want to fifa 09.. u need to be pretty darn good at it.. ;)

there is a v simple logic that i now follow... if i lose.. i no more blame it on mah luck.. :) I lose cuz i don't play well enough.. :D

bloggin... to kill time!

One of the primary reasons i created a profile out here was cuz 

1. my days off late have been extremely boring. X( with absolutely nothing to do besides gaming on the xbox and textin' my friends'.. (some of them hardly even reply).. Lol.. 

2 .even d Xbox (which i thought would never ditch) has been giving me tough times.. :( bad patch for sure.. :(

3. Its nice to be engaged here when amidst mood swings.. rather than being a loser & doin nthg.. Lol

aahh.. am bored giving reasons (why am here)..  let's see how many days does this blogger thingy keeps me engaged .. hopefully my impatience doesn't show up even here.. cuz then i will have v few other places to go.. Lol

hopefully more to come in the coming days..
